This March, the Atlanta BeltLine acquired the 4.5-mile Southside Trail corridor, exactly what they needed to close the lovely loop. Running from University Avenue to Glenwood Avenue, the Southside Trail will serve as the highly anticipate connection between the Westside and Eastside Trails. For Burnett Grant Park residents, this is calls for a happy dance, because the entrance to the Southside Trail just a one minute walk away.

What’s on the Horizon?

As the design and redevelopment process for the Southside Trail begins, the Atlanta BeltLine has announced that it is planning to open an interim hiking trail by the end of the 2018. This will be a great way for our residents to explore the newest addition to the trail before it is fully complete.

The 14-mile portion of the trail will connect five schools, three parks, and eighteen neighborhoods. We can’t wait to see what’s next! You can keep up with the latest developments, progress, and project updates right here.
