Young or old, everyone always has a blast at the Atlanta Zoo. This notable holiday event includes everything the zoo already has to offer plus a special tree lighting celebration, hot cocoa and s’mores around the fire, caroling, musical presentations, costume characters, and more.
When: Saturday, December 2, 2:30-5:30 pm

A cemetery? Yes, indeed! Don’t dismiss this one — it’s a super-unique and interesting way to kick off the holiday season. In addition to a Holiday Artists Market, live music, and photos with old St. Nicholas, there is an exclusive one-hour walking tour led by a Victorian guide. Called the Holiday Tour of Eternal Homes, you’ll get the fascinating inside scoop on several “magnificent” mausoleums in the cemetery, each specially decorated by local artists and designers for the season.
When: Saturday, December 2, 11am-4pm
Cost: Victorian Holiday features, including the children’s craft area and photos with Saint Nicholas, are free and open to the public. However, tickets must be purchased in advance for the Holiday Tour of Eternal Homes, which is $16 for adults. Buy tickets online.

Touted as one of Atlanta’s best and most eclectic holiday home tours, this is the thirty-seventh year of this popular annual event. Also a fundraiser for three community organizations: St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Grant Park Cooperative Preschool, and the Grant Park Parents Network, your heart will be as warm as the glow from the candlelight at each beautiful home you visit. This tour is an extraordinary way to experience stunning, historic homes in the Grant Park neighborhood.
When: Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10, 6-10pm
Cost: $20 each through Friday, Dec. 8. Ticket prices increase to $25 each beginning Saturday, Dec. 9. After Dec. 8, tickets must be purchased at the door. Buy tickets online.

Grant Park Farmers Market, in collaboration with Root City Market, will kick off the holiday season in style. Beyond our usual friendly farmers, food artisans, and local food businesses, you’ll also find several new local artists and craftspeople selling their wares. Specialty items include handmade candles, wreaths, wood art, and more. The bazaar is a great place to purchase locally made gifts for the holidays.
When: Sunday, December 17, 9am-1pm
