5 Can’t-Miss Spring Events In and Around Grant Park

Spring has almost sprung here at Burnett Grant Park and we are so excited for all the season brings to our lovely Atlanta neighborhood. Whether you’re a foodie, art collector, or exercise enthusiast, there are plenty of things to do and see in and around Grant Park this season.

Here are five can’t-miss spring events to add to your calendar:

Gorilla Egg Hunts and More

When: Saturday, March 31 (9:30am – 4:30pm)
Where: Zoo Atlanta
What: One of Zoo Atlanta’s most exciting spring traditions is back this year. Come watch your favorite herbivores hunt for Easter eggs at the Gorilla Egg Hunt. Animals throughout the Zoo will also enjoy Easter-themed surprises. For Burnett Grant Park residents, this fun-filled day is just a short stroll away.

International Pillow Fight Day ATL

When: Saturday, April 7 (2:00pm – 5:00pm)
Where: Grant Park (At the corner of Cherokee Ave SE and Sydney St. SE)
What: In honor of International Pillow Fight Day, the Sky’s The Limit Travel and Social Club is hosting a pillow fight in Grant Park. The event is free for adults and kids. Swing lightly, friends.

Run Before You Crawl 5K & Pub Crawl

When: April 14, 2018 (9:30am Run & 11:00am Pub Crawl)
Where: Grant Park
What: This annual 5K run begins and optional pub crawl begins and ends in the beautiful Grant Park. Tickets for the 5K are $30. If you’d like to join the pub crawl, the price goes up to $40. What Grant Park bars do you think will make the cut?

Grant Park Farmers Market

When: Every Sunday (9:00am – 1:00pm)
Where: Grant Park (600 Cherokee Ave SE)
What: Voted Best Farmers Market in Creative Loafing and Atlanta Magazine, the Grant Park Farmers Market is a local favorite. The winter market at Eventide Brewery will close shop and make way for the main market in Grant Park on April 8th.

Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Atlanta Dogwood Festival

When: April 13 – 15
Where: Piedmont Park
What: Though it’s not right in our neighborhood, no Atlanta spring events list is complete without the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. This annual Atlanta staple brings national renowned art, diverse musical offerings, and delicious food to the city for event-goers to enjoy.
